I need some stuff to clean my bike and I can't use normal soap and water in my condo parking. I have heard about something called Honda Spray Polish and Cleaner but have never seen it. Checked at Canadian Tire for cleaners but most warned against use on painted surfaces.
Any suggestions?
yes honda spray polish is what i carry on trips to clean visors it works alright on the bike as well ... leaves a waxy like finish to it ...
Where did you get it? Do only Honda motorcycle shops carry the stuff?
I have similar stuff, for those rare times that I actually clean anything on my bike, sold with the Suzuki name on it. Picked up at S.O.N.
I have seen the Honda spray cleaner at Snow City Cycle. I am sure any Honda bike dealership will have it as well.
Does it work well with road grime from riding in the rain? Or is it more a polish less "cleaner".
I hate draggin' the hose out when it gets chilly outside. Cold water on a cold day does not make for happy bike washing.
Find out what Snow city sells it for, i should be able to beat their price.
I use Honda Polish and Cleaner spray on my bike if is not too dirty.
If the bike is extremely filthy, I take to the self serve car wash and hose it down.
Yes I ride home on a wet seat but it dries fast.
I also use it to clean my helmet.
The stuff cleans up the old chain lube spray that is splattered all over the back of the bike, whether on metal or plastic. And now that I have better chain lube, it sparkles.

the honda polish also cleans, it cleans off road grime and bugs pretty well, now if the thing has mud on it, obviously don't use it, if its got tar from the road its not going to work either ... but regular road grime and bugs it works well on...
i find that tho i use it on the visor for cleaning, i found that plexus works a bit better for clear plastics ... it doesn't polish as nicely as the honda spray but it cleans better for windshields and visors ... only reason i bring the honda instead of the plexus is because i have more cans of the honda currently and want to use up my 'older' stock ...

Exactly what I wanted to hear. :-) Thanks. Now to google my nearest honda moto dealer.
EDIT: HA! Right next to my VW dealer. OR snow city.
i think the old forumla was cancer producing but it worked better then the current forumla ... i guess they call it progress

SCORE! One free can of Honday Spray Cleaner & polish.
I went into Parkway Honday (Eglinton Between DVP & Vic Park) since honda.ca listed them as a Powerhouse dealer. Didn't even know they sold bikes there.
Apparently they are new to bikes (and the other powerhouse items they must sell), they have a small show room on the west side of the building but a new powersport area will be opening soon (a few weeks) in the building behind the main dealership. I was told Parts Mgr Brett is in charge of the powersport area. Dealership looks nice, large cafe bar, phones, net access in the louge area.
Can was free as the SKU was not in the system yet.
Keep this stuff off the chain/sprockets/tires eh? How about engine parts?
I use Mothers show and shine. Works great
