So I decided I was going to try a few night shots with the bike tonight, so I parked it on the street when I got home from the meet. I had a friend come over at 11pm to bake some cookies and hang out. She left around 12:30am, and I edited some photographs till about 3am. At 3am I decided that I should get it done, so I donned the gear and got my camera stuff ready and headed outside to see this:

I call the police to file a report before I decide to touch it, while on the phone I check for gas leaks in case I need a cruiser to come by and clean it up. I was told that I have to file a report in the morning with the non-emergency number after I mention that there doesn't seem to be any gas leaking. It looks like the damage is some minor scratches to the bar ends, the pipe and the right fairing. I'm guessing that someone decided to sit on it, lost balance and laid it down fairly gently and ran away. It seems to be ridable, so I take it out to the CNE gates for a couple of photos, but my tripod is a pain and I'm getting tired so I snap a few and go home again. The onboard flash with the rebel is crap, especially when combined with my 17-40mm lens because it blocks a lot of the spread. Some ho is currently carrying my good flash and has been holding it hostage for the last two 2 months.
