So after my brief 5 1/2 hour stint as a telemarketer raising funds for a retarded opera based in Boston....well, all I can say is that I quit already and my soul hurt every minute I was there. Nothing say "*jerk*" more than pushing for people to GIVE money to something when they say they can't afford it, especially in times like these.
If you, like me, hate the crap out of those calls, follow this link for a printable script you can use to put the pressure on the person calling.

Edit: I'd also like to note that this Opera has an operating budget of $6m. Six. Million. Dollars.
i got a call from telemarketers the other night, i was on the phone talking to a friend and i get the call waiting beep, its a telemarketer from scotia ... they started on there speel on whatever it is they were selling, i said "can you hang on a sec? I"m on the phone" reply "sure"... I grabbed my wallet and flipped to the back of my debit card and fwded the guy back to the scotia 800 number ... went back to my call, funny thing is that after i finished my call to a friend a minute later, the guy was still on hold with scotia ... LOL they don't give up i guess...
i am on that wobbs but i think it takes like a month to do it ... or else maybe they just haven't gotten around to it, i do notice a big decline in calls ...

If you have business with Scotia, they can still call you even though you are on the Do Not Call list.
I just want the politicians to stop calling me. They never do anything for me anyway.

oh they can ? LOL, oh well i guess thats how they got thru the do not call list ... yes part of my banking is done at scotia...

When I joined I seem to get a lot more telemarketer calls. LOL.
Now its starting to die down after a month, but a few still get through.
