What do you all do to keep cagers off your tail?
I start swerving back and forth, I find it works great! Cagers think you're about to fall, so they back off.
Any other suggestions?
Hmmm....don't know...maybe I should riding sweep more often...

Flip the bird?
I just leave more room in front of me and they would normally pass me.
maybe a 357...
Seriously, I do what sprocket does...leave room in front. Everyone is in such a rush they don't like to see open spaces in front.
I know this is an old thread, but since I started riding again this season I have noticed that many cage drivers are tailgating.
That's kinda nuts of them considering they can bump my rear wheel doing 120km/h if they are not careful.
I've been trying a few techniques to get them to back off, but sometimes it just don't work in which case I just change lanes when I get a safe chance and get outta their way. Sooner or later the idiot will rear end a car or something.
I tried slowing down, letting off the throttle and leaving lots of space in front a fews days ago when this Civic was up my arse

, but the fu@*er almost hit me.
I'll try the swerving next time as kagan-fu has suggested, maybe that'll work.
I had to use this yesterday. Same situation, bloody civic was riding my back, so I did the ol' swaying (like you'd do when you're warming up your tires), sure enough, the civic backed off....way back!
Even today, I was at a stop sign and somebody thought it was a good idea to share my lane...I was tempted to fall on them.

So I heard from a friend of a friend who doesn't condone such antics.
Those of you who still have carbs can hit the kill switch twist the throttle fully a couple of times then turn the kill switch back on.
In case you haven't got it yet, I'm not responsible for your actions.

A friend of a friend who doesn't condone such antics that one pump isn't effective. Two pump gives you a nice sharp pop and flames out the pipes.

That is funny. I just might try this, it all depends on how aggressive the cage is up my tail.
I would test it out first before you try it on a cage. How bout tomorrow night?

by 'popping' like that you do realize that what you are doing is causing an 'uncontrolled' explosion in your engine and in the exhaust pipe...i dunno about you but my engine i'd like to preserve so wouldn't want to do these uncontrolled explosions/burns for the purposes of getting a cager off my back, if i need to get rid of him i'll just ride faster or go around traffic to get a different car behind me...
not that i condone or have done it but a friend of mine from the states what he does is keeps loose change in his tank bag, if the cager is tailing him too much he'll reach in and dump some pennies out at them, 100kph with pennies hitting someone's hood/windshield usually gets 'em to back off pretty fast...
Tailgaiting, 100 kph and losing money.
"Tailgaiting Costs More than Lives."
"Tailgaiting is Expensive."
There's gotta be a joke in here somewhere!

Hmm time to carry some pennies....hehe

If poppin' may cause engine issues then maybe I try that as my engine still only got 1500 km on it (pretty much new).
But this "pennies" idea.......

Hmmmmm..........sounds like not bad.
It sure is funny though, if it's luxury car, you can put some nice dents/chips on the hood of the luxury cage.
I'll have to evaluate all the ideas here.
